View of the deck-to-hull layer of glass where it is being cut. Note that if you cut even a bit too deep you’ll go through the top of the deck/gunwale. You will quickly get to a point where you can “feel” the grinder as it bites through that layer of glass because there is some open air space right up in the joint. When you feel the grinder “go through” then move along to a fresh spot. Use light touches with the grinder, like a dentist working a drill. You need to go all the way along the gunwales, up under the rear decks, and along and under the splash well. Remove that small web of attachment glass everywhere. (It doesn’t go all the way up to the front – in my case the deck-to-hull glass only went about half-way out to the bow.
